GWD Customers can now benefit from automatic Gift Aid reclaim

We know our customers value Gift Aid, but with multiple barriers and complex processes to follow, charities often miss out on this extra income.

We get it – teams are stretched, budget is tight and there are more income streams than ever to manage. So, making those claims to HMRC can get easily forgotten. But it’s those same challenges that prove to us how important Gift Aid is to Third Sector organisations. 25% more income could be the difference between your charity surviving and thriving.

That’s why we wanted to make things easier.

The Donation Station Pro range already features intuitive and effective Gift Aid integration, with our customer base seeing an average of 68% of donations Gift Aided. We wanted to increase success further, which is why our devices will soon offer Automatic Gift Aid Reclaim as an added feature for UK charities.

What do you need to know?

Who can use it?

Any organisation with a Pro device who is set up to collect Gift Aid through HMRC and is not using a PGS account.

Disclaimer: This feature will not be available for Republic of Ireland customers due to the difference in Gift Aid processes.

How will the feature work?

From your point of view, very simply!

Gift Aid will be taken through the Donation Station as usual, but instead of manually making the claim in your own time, we will automate it for you.

The Gift Aid funds are then settled into your bank monthly, alongside your usual donation settlement.

Will there be a cost for the service?

Yes, there will be a small monthly fee of £5 per organisation for this additional service. 

An introductory offer will be available from 1st April 2026, the feature launch date.

Charities who sign-up before 13th May 2026 will receive the first 6 months free of charge.

Are you a Church of England customer?

If your Donation Station is linked to your Parish Giving Scheme (PGS) account, automated Gift Aid reclaim is already available to you through their platform.
